Data access policy

Access to archived data is conditioned by copyright and the degree of data sensitivity (“RS Law on Personal Data Protection”), noting that copyright holders can impose additional conditions. In this case, in addition to standard registration, the consent of data depositor must be required.

Access categories

Depending on the level of access control, the deposited files are categorized into three groups:

• Public-Use-Files (PUF) are data and documents that can be accessed through the dissemination portal without any restrictions;

• Free-Use-Files (FUF) is data and documents that can be used only for scientific analysis in academic research and teaching and can be accessed without the depositor’s permission. Through the ordering system, either by email or online form, the user can gain access and free download files from this category, with prior registration;

• Scientific-Use-Files (SUF) is data and documents that can only be accessed with the approval of the data center/depositor. It is the user’s responsibility to clarify all details of about its research and to indicate how they will use the data. Data Centre Serbia requests approval to the depositor and allows the user access only if the depositor submits a written approval. To access these files, users need to sign a License Agreement.

User registration

The registration of the users is done by the form with basic information and assignment of License Agreement, which obliges the user to respect the general and special conditions of use.
